Subject: Some parts of "Kuei Yang"(ex-Twining) in the park on north Taiwan "Keelong-°ò¶©"dear Roger Myers
All the picture was photo on July 2, 2002. I had served on ship within 1980-1982.
March 9, 2003: The ship's parts in this park appear to be from a Gearing
class tincan which would indicate these parts are NOT from Kuei Yang / ex-Twining.

"Keui Yang (Twining), as a Fletcher class DD, never received that kind of mast which only could be obtained from Gearings!! In fact, from our survey the mast substantially belongs to ROCN DDG-920 which was formerly USS Shelton DD-790."![]()
This tripod unit is typical of Gearing class.
Kuei Yang DDG-908 (near) with four post mast. Gearing class (far) with tripod type mast.
The four blades of this screw suggests it is not of Fletcher/Twining origin.
Twining DD540 three-blade screw
I forgot who sent me this WW2 picture. I bet the Twining sailor in this picture can tell me..... Glenn
